Location: No fixed location with travel across Stockport, Oldham, Rochdale & Trafford required.
Salary: Point 22 - £20,723 to point 25 - £22,728
Hours: 35 hours per week over 5 days
Contract: Until 31st March 2020 (extended funding is expected)
Reporting to: Help to Claim Manager
The Citizens Advice services across Stockport, Oldham, Rochdale and Trafford are leading providers of advice and information, supporting tens of thousands of clients every year and we are now looking to recruit ambitious individuals to join our growing team.
The Help to Claim service is a new service for Citizens Advice, funded by the Department for Work & Pensions to support residents make their claim for Universal Credit.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Team Leader, who will work closely with the Help to Claim Manager to support operational delivery staff working in Job Centres and other locations across Stockport, Oldham, Rochdale and Trafford.
In conjunction with the Help to Claim Manager, you will provide line management and day-to-day support to operational staff within the team, supporting both staff to provide an excellent service to clients.
You will do this by:
developing and continually improving processes and procedures to ensure effective and efficient service delivery
ensuring clients can access the help to claim service within the agreed hours
ensuring the service is adequately staffed, taking into consideration annual leave, sickness and general absence
helping to support, coach and develop the staff team
You will have experience of being a team leader or a similar position and able to demonstrate effective management of a team.
The role requires a high level of travel across GM, often at short notice, so use of a car and a full driving licence is essential.
