Job Vacancy: Social Welfare Law Caseworker (Cancer support)

Salary (actual) £18,748 - £20,003 (dependent on experience)

Hours: 30  hours per week

Location: Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Community Cancer Service.

Contract: fixed until April 2021

This new post has arisen from Citizens Advice partnership with Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Community Cancer Service and looks at providing a welfare benefit casework service to people affected by cancer.

You will be based with a small team of specialist Health Care professionals in Rochdale but will also be part of a motivated and supportive team of specialist benefit caseworkers across Citizens Advice’s Pennine West region.


You will need to have recent and relevant experience in providing welfare benefits advice work and a good knowledge of the benefit system, especially in the areas of sickness and disability. You will be expected to deal with complex cases including appeal work.
