Location: Mainly Rochdale but, possible travel across Greater Manchester

Salary: £17,857-£19,902 (Dependent on experience)

Hours per week: 37

Citizens Advice offers confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free. We give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem.  We help with everything from money issues to problems at work, housing to consumer rights.

A collaboration of Citizens Advice Stockport, Oldham, Rochdale and Trafford delivers services across four Greater Manchester boroughs, supporting over 35,000 clients with over 74,500 issues.

The role will include:

  • Interviewing clients to identify and summarise the problem(s).

  • Researching and exploring options so clients can make informed decisions.

  • Where necessary act for the client, calculating, negotiating, writing letters etc.

  • Ensuring all work conforms to the quality standard.

The essential skills you’ll have are:

  • Understanding of the main issues involved in interviewing clients

  • Client service skills to maintain structure and control of interviews

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and enthusiastic approach.

  • Commitment to the aims and principles of Citizens Advice
